TRIM3 Eligibility and Participation Rate Estimates

The TRIM3 model simulates the number of units (typically individuals or families) eligible for assistance under various means-tested transfer programs using data from the Current Population Survey, Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS/ASEC).

TRIM-based eligibility estimates for TANF and SSI are published periodically in HHS/ASPE’s "Indicators of Welfare Dependence" publication, together with TRIM-based estimates of participation rates for those programs.
